Nancy Cam-Winget is a distinguished technology leader and a recognized expert in network security, identity, trustworthy systems and the security of the Internet of Things (IoT). She was a key contributor and editor for securing IEEE 802.11, the creator of Cisco’s pxGrid, a secure information-sharing framework, and the main editor for its standard framework, IETF’s XMPP-Grid (RFC 8600).

As a Cisco Fellow in the Security Business Group’s Office of the CTO, Nancy is a key figure in product and technology strategy, research, and standards. She has over two decades of experience in the network security industry and is known for her ability to translate abstract ideas into tangible, widely adopted products and industry standards. Her work includes over 50 foundational patents in the security industry and a long list of protocol standards that facilitate interoperability among security technologies. She has also played a crucial role in promoting the adoption of best security practices within the industrial IoT markets.
